What World Strategies is a small agency that works on the big issues. We are curious about global campaigning and advocacy so we search out what is trending, what are the emerging issues, who is making change and what are the key campaigns and events. We use this analysis to help clients working in the social change space to undertake stakeholder analysis and mapping, design strategies, create collaborative initiatives, organise consultations and convene dialogues to achieve our client's objectives.
We specialise in designing and implementing global advocacy strategies targeting global forums. Whether our client is looking at the G7, G20 or UN forums, we assess the policy options and opportunities, identify the right forum and allies for influence, undertake a detailed power analysis and devise tactical initiatives to deliver our client's objectives.
Organisations that can harness the energy of the advocacy industry by developing allies and collaborative partners can achieve their strategic objectives more quickly and effectively. What World Strategies assists clients to identify allies and partners and builds and coordinates partner coalitions to create momentum around advocacy issues.
We specialise in exploring the social change industry to discover new change-making initiatives by identifying trends and events that influence the global agenda and highlight the campaigns that are gaining traction and making the news. What World Strategies publishes this intelligence in special reports and bespoke presentations.
When a client is looking to engage in an advocacy sector, it is critical to understand the layout of the sector from the key players and agenda to the opportunities for creating change. What World Strategies provides our clients with the intelligence of the advocacy sector using its extensive knowledge of the industry and its networks.
What World Strategies was founded by Kel Currah who has over 18 years experience of advocacy, coalition building and organising conference calls. We work with a small staff and have access to a roster of experienced professionals which we bring on board for specific projects. What World Strategies has coordinated large international gatherings, coordinated advocacy plans involving multiple organizations for international events and delivered key advocacy outcomes for our clients.
The What World Strategies offices are located in the university town of Guelph some thirty miles outside of Toronto. The offices are in the Trafalgar Building, a vibrant mixed space of media groups, festival offices, design companies, artist studios and, importantly, a tattooist.
