What World Strategies is small agency that working on big issues. We are curious about campaigning, advocacy and the art of influencing the global agenda and we believe the by sharing information, creating collaborative initiatives and promoting dialogue makes the sector more effective and successful. We search out what is trending, what are the emerging issues, who is making in-roads and what are the key campaigns and events. We use this analysis to help organisations working in the social change space to: undertake stakeholder mapping ; create collaboration and coalitions; convene consultations and dialogues; and build strategies and global advocacy training. Over the past five years we have had the honour of working with some of the best and most dynamic organisations working in the social change sector from NGOs like Save and Oxfam, coalitions such as Beyond 2015, large foundations like the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, international organizations like the OECD and communication agencies like Portland Communications.

 

Strategy Design & Implementation

We work with clients to design and implement global advocacy strategies targeting global forums. Whether a client is looking at the G7, G20 or UN forums, What World Strategies works closely with clients to assess the policy options and opportunities at the global level; identify the right forum that can influence the global policy space; undertake a detailed power analyses; and devise tactical initiatives that combine to create a strong strategy that can achieve the client's policy change goals.

Collaboration and Coalition Building

Organisations that can harness the energy of the advocacy industry through creating allies and collaborative partners can achieve their strategic objectives more quickly and effectively. What World Strategies assists clients identify allies and partners and builds and coordinates partner coalitions to create momentum around advocacy issues.

We specialise in exploring the social change industry to discover new change-making initiatives byidentify trends and events that influence the global agenda and highlight the campaigns that are gaining traction and making the news. What World Strategies publishes this intelligence in special reports and bespoke presentations.

The What World Strategies offices are located in the university town of Guelph some thirty miles outside of Toronto. The offices are in the Trafalgar Building, a vibrant mixed space of media groups, festival offices, design companies, artist studios and, importantly, a tattooist.
