Mapping & Consultations

Stakeholder Mapping

Whether a client is working on an issue or looking to engage in an advocacy sector, it is critical to understand the layout of the sector: which are the key players; who is setting the agenda; what are the political positions of the key stakeholders and what are the plans of other actors in the sector. What World Strategies provides clients with a layout of the specific issue or advocacy sector. Using its extensive knowledge of the advocacy industry and networks, What World Strategies equips clients with the intelligence of social change.

Case Study

What World Strategies was commissioned by a client to give them a clear understanding of the development advocacy sector over a twelve month period. The client wanted to know what were the key campaigns in the forthcoming year, the main actors in the advocacy community and the key policy priorities. What World Strategies put together a monthly report up-dating the client on the activities and trends in the campaigning environment which allowed the client to better inform its planning and deliver its strategy effectively and efficiently.

Stakeholder Consultation & Dialogue

What World Strategies works to increase the dialogue between sectors, whether government, international organisations or the private sector. We work with clients to identify and engage the key civil society actors and facilitate consultations and dialogue between the groups on specific issues or processes.

Case-Study:

What World Strategies was commissioned to coordinate a two-day global dialogue between governments and civil society. The consultation brought together participants from over 17 countries to share ideas, discuss concerns, and identify policy options. What World Strategies planned and implemented the project which included identifying the participants, drafting the agenda, managing the event, and event follow-up.
